Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). She was born at Redwood City in California. She is of Italian, German (from the paternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish heritage. Linda grew up living in the San Francisco Bay area, California and was the eldest of four children. The acting bug grew in her as a ten year old when she was cast as a vocalist in the annual Christmas show at school. The school continued to offer productions and community theater. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School Mountain View California. Following her graduation, she was required to decide whether to go to New York to pursue theater or Los Angeles to pursue film and television. She decided to go to LA. Linda was cast in her debut role on the series Bone Chillers (1996). Freaks and Geeks, 1999 was her breakthrough performance. The series won the actress an Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting in a Comedy Series. She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete that was studying at the University of California.

Lily James, born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson in 1989 (born on April 5, 1989), is an English actor. She studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and began her acting career on the British TV show Just William (2010). Cinderella was her breakthrough part after her role as the character Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James was later cast as Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) and also appeared in a variety of films. These included the action film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) as well as The Dig (2021), as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). Pam & Tommy, a biographical series on television based upon the story of Pamela Anderson (released in 2022) was nominated for Golden Globe Award winner and a Primetime Emmy Award.
